Verlag Rothe Drucke was founded in 2002. The aim of this publishing house is to publish highly-original and top-quality artists' books and editions. To date, it has published an artist’s book every year.
Selected artists are given support in creating their own publications with original ideas, illustrations and texts. They can also rely on the expert guidance and assistance of the publisher in the fields of creation and production.
The hand-bound artists' books are published in small, limited editions. A limited and signed graphic edition of each book is also published. An edition with sculptures has also already been published.
The Verlag Rothe Drucke publishing house also works closely with artists and art experts to publish monographs and catalogues of works.
The publisher set itself a particular challenge with the facsimile edition of the "Tabulae geographicae" based on to Ptolemy, which was published in Ulm in a printed edition dating back to 1486.
